We provide customised systems engineering consultancy services for many of our customers.

A major aerospace client found themselves needing to supply new test equipment based on a 1980’s ATE system. The new equipment would have to deliver a further 20 years service life, and we were invited to quote.

It rapidly became evident that there was such a degree of obsolescence that reproducing the existing design was impractical. We offered to re-engineer the requirements specification, using modern technological solutions. This meant a competitive and meaningful tender could be issued.

The customer was happy to proceed in this way, so we spent eight weeks working with their lead engineers on the new specification. The result was an ATE system specification, using current technology, which targeted the in-service support and maintenance user scenario required.

The resulting ATE requirement specification was then re-issued as part of a new Request for Quotation which led to a successful placement of contract and fulfillment of our customer’s needs.
