Project Engineer – Contract or Permanent

The successful candidate will work as part of a growing team of engineers within this highly successful business. We provide bespoke, high quality, turnkey test, control and automation solutions across the lifecycle from requirements capture through design, manufacture and through life support and currently employ over 30 people. With ISO 9001, ISO 14001, SC21 bronze award and a number of other quality accreditations this is a professional business, looking for professional engineers who enjoy a culture of empowerment, creativity and continual improvement.

Applicants must have the following skills and experience:

• Electronic/electrical design experience
• Effective, professional communication with both customers and colleagues
• Managing engineering projects from initial customer contact to delivery and commissioning
  •   Requirements capture
  •   Quote preparation
  •   Delivery of manufacturable design solution
  •   Definition of test strategy
  •   Attention to detail
• Must be able to manage own time efficiently, to deliver against agreed plan
• Help with accurate quotations and elicit timely quotes from suppliers

The following skills and experience would be beneficial:

• Design of Special to Type Test Equipment
• Test software programming skills (PICs, LabView, VB, C etc)
• CAD draughting skills (Autocad preferred)
• Experience of developing test, control or automation solutions
• Experience in aerospace, defence, oil & gas, rail or other safety critical sectors
• Project management experience and skills

Salary of up to £35,000 plus benefits including pension and 25 days holiday per year.
